Alpha / MicroChurch Celebration Dinner
On January 10 we hosted our first Alpha / MicroChurch celebration dinner. It was a time to look back at what God has done through our fall gatherings and also promote our winter term Alpha and MicroChurches (Life Groups).
In the above picture, Leon is interviewing Dennis, a member of our Brownsburg Alpha Course who is now helping Leon lead a MicroChurch meeting in his house. Dennis said he felt he had grown more through his experience in Alpha than his first seven years as a Christian. He is also following the example of Alpha by co-leading an outreach Bible Study in his work place, an insurance agency in Downtown Indianapolis.
We’ve also seen God begin to touch a whole family through the outreaches we are leading. It started with reaching out to one person who has been going through a hard season in life. His son and daughter-in-law were so touched by the outpouring of love to John (not his real name) that they have joined our Alpha and MicroChurch gatherings. Now God is opening the door to reach out to a brother of John’s daughter-in-law who is trying to get his life back together after years of bad decisions.
Pray that God continues His work in the lives of the people who are being reached and discipled by these various gatherings.

We’ve Moved!!!
For those who had not heard, we moved into a house in Franklin Township just after New Years. Shortly after our last newsletter we found a house in another neighborhood in the township. God gave us favor in the bidding process, and we were able to close on this house before the girls started the second semester at school.
As we look back at how things developed in our housing search, we definitely believe God has lead us to a better place than we originally planned to purchase. With some recent changes in the school system, the girls are in a better elementary school than they would have been in. We are also more centrally located to our various ministry appointments.

Additional Prayer Requests
- Continue to pray for “John” (the friend we mentioned to the right). We have taken him in for a few weeks while we help him connect with the right resources to help him get back on his feet. He has made some significant progress in the past few weeks. Pray that God will open up the right leads for housing and a job for him.
- Pray for the upcoming MicroChurch (Life Group) leader training we are doing for Franklin Park Church. This is a monthly training we are starting in late February for prospective group leaders in the church. Pray that God uses this time to raise up leaders who will be effective in discipling and reaching out to others.
